The Owners

Daniel - I am a graduate of Texas A&M and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Serving as a tour guide is technically my side job, but it allows me to get out from behind my desk and meet new people - which is a major reason for starting HCD.

Amy - I was born and raised in Baytown, Texas but spent many of my childhood summers with family in the Texas Hill Country. I am excited to begin this new adventure with my husband and share our love of the area with our guests.

We started Hill Country Detours because we love the Texas Hill Country and everything it has to offer. We enjoy wine and spirits from all over the world but are always happy to find wonderful offerings made here in our own backyard.

The Family

Being from San Antonio, I often visited Boerne and Fredericksburg. I was always attracted to the charm of the area, and I knew that I wanted to raise a family here. Now Amy and I have three children, stay active in our community, and started a business that allows us to bring attention to the wines and spirits that are made here. We have always loved participating in tours to the wineries and distilleries and want to provide a safe tour for our guests so they can enjoy the experience for themselves.
