Our goal is to provide you a fun and safe visit to each venue

With this in mind, we do require that our guests help us to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience. Please review the following list of our guest expectations.

Punctuality

For our detours, we reserve a specific time for our guests at each venue we visit. So as to not jeopardize the detour, we ask all our guests to be ready for pick-up at the designated time. To stay on schedule, our detours may be unable to wait for those guests that are not prepared to leave at the onset of the detour. Missing guests will still be charged according to our cancellation policy.

Once our tour commences, our guests should expect about an hour at each venue.

Golden Rule

Probably the best overall rule is to imagine if you were a winery owner or server - how you would like your guests to behave at your place. In some cases, they are inviting you to their home.

Outside Beverages

Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are allowed at any venues OTHER THAN from that venue. This is a legal requirement that applies to “bonded facilities” and the entire group will be expelled if just one person violates this rule.

Public Intoxication

Public intoxication is a crime, regardless of whether you have a designated driver or are in a limo/bus/shuttle. It is unlawful to serve or sell alcohol to an intoxicated person. Servers cannot serve anyone they suspect is over or near the “legal limit” of alcohol. It is a judgement call and management will support their TABC trained employees, and if you are advised you cannot be served, please refrain from arguing and walk away. Additionally, the venues we visit, by law, will excuse the entire group if ONE person is considered “over the limit” of alcohol.

Legal Age

Servers may ask for IDs to confirm you are over 21. Obviously, this so they may verify that you are of legal age to consume alcohol. Please do not be offended if you are asked and be prepared to show it.

Bartending

Remember that only the employees at each venue are allowed to handle open bottles at the tasting bars. Please do not reach for a bottle to pour yourself.

Behavior

Please respect your fellow patrons at each venue. Disorderly, loud, groups are a distraction to fellow guests trying to enjoy their experience. Please be aware and considerate. Any disruptive guests may have their detour concluded and asked to find an alternative way to their drop off destination.

Patience

Saturdays and Holidays are the busiest days. Staff members are striving to serve everyone equally and ensure everyone has a good experience. They appreciate your patience you may experience a wait in line for an accessible place at the serving area.

FAQs

  • We can pick up and drop off our guests at any hotel or residence in the Fredericksburg or Boerne area. We are also willing to pick up in select areas of San Antonio, though this is dependent on the pick up and drop off requirements of the other guests. We offer pick up and drop off at the Fredericksburg visitor center, the Boerne visitor center, or the University Park & Ride in San Antonio (located at I-10 and 1604) for those guests that prefer these options (refer to maps below). When booking your tour, please specify your desired pick up and drop off locations and we will accept or modify as needed when we send your detour confirmation e-mail. Please contact us with any questions.
